We first want to meet with you, walk your property, and understand what type of landscape renovation or brand new design you have in mind. We will consider the exterior of your home, the site conditions of your property, and using your wish list, we will provide you with a landscape plan. This plan will connect you, your home, and the landscaping to each other.
This first meeting is free of charge. It is as much a time for us to gather information about your wants and needs as it is for you to feel a connection with us. If it feels right…
We will need your Real Property Report for the landscape concepts.
We will create three (3) concepts or options for your landscape **Please note this is not typical, but we feel there are many possibilities and we want to provide you with three of the best.
While presenting our 3 concepts we’ll discuss how a space is organized and ask for your feedback. (Feel free to mix and match designs from the three concepts presented.)
We will discuss and recommend materials based on your budget.
“Prairie Outpost is without question, the most professional, creative and customer oriented contractor...and that translated into a beautifully conceptualized and executed garden for our home.”
-A. Pidskalny 2013
From your feedback we will pull together the final scaled drawing which will place and label plants and provide a material list. At this stage we will provide an estimate for installation.
If it looks good we move onto the next step.
Rendering of Final Drawing
Once the final landscape drawings are complete it is often helpful for homeowners to visualize the new landscape with a walk through the proposed space using a 3D rendering. Take a peek at a few examples of how this tool can make it so much easier to imagine the space completed.
We love what we do, and have fun doing it. We have a great team that takes pride in the work they do. We know you would like the job done well, on time, and on budget.
All materials will be ordered and secured well ahead of the project start date.
With a set schedule, materials are on site, and a dedicated team, we work hard to bring your design to life so you can enjoy your new space as soon as possible.
We’ll review with you daily what was done and what will be done the next day so you can relax and enjoy the process.
Softscape is the part of the project that is alive: trees, shrubs, perennials, and lawn. These living materials pull the entire project together. We know our plants and we know design. We also know you want the “wow” factor so we source the best plants in the largest sizes your budget allows. Our focus is on both great construction and great plant material!
Once we’ve completed your project, please don’t think that is the last you will see of us. We stay in contact with our home owners years after we have completed the project. The amount of involvement is up to you. Some want us to do weekly maintenance and others will ask for spring and fall clean up only. Others simply have questions that we are glad to answer. We are thrilled when we return years later and the plants are mature and the landscape is clearly enjoyed.
Lighting is an option that provides functional (pathways), security and drama to your architecture and plant material.
Containers, or the beautiful pots found on patios, entrances, or in the garden. We’ll shop for the perfect container (ceramic, resin, or metal) and fill them with unique plant material.
Garden Art, such as sculptures, bird baths, water fountains and features, and wind sculptures.
Outdoor Furniture to compliment your home and outdoor living space.
